Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin, the Sultan of the Dawoodi Bohra community, along with his sons Prince Jaafar Al-Sadiq Imaduddin, Prince Taha Najmuddin, and Prince Hussein Burhanuddin in the presence of Mufaddal Mohammed Hassan, the representative of the Sultan of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Cairo.

Ambassador Mohammed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that President El-Sisi welcomed Sultan Mufaddal Saifuddin to Egypt, praising the long-standing relations between Egypt and the Dawoodi Bohra community. He commended the role played by the Sultan and the Bohra community in restoring the mosques and shrines of Ahl al-Bayt, as well as historic mosques in Cairo, in addition to the development and charitable projects carried out by the community in Egypt. The President affirmed Egypt’s commitment to continuing the development of Ahl al-Bayt mosques across the country and to providing all possible support to facilitate the community’s work in this regard.

The spokesperson added that Sultan Mufaddal expressed his deep gratitude to the President for the warm reception he consistently receives during his visits to Egypt. He also highlighted the efforts made by the Bohra community in restoring and maintaining the mosques of Ahl al-Bayt and historic mosques, emphasizing his interest in increasing the number of Bohra tourists visiting Egypt for cultural, recreational, and religious tourism.

The spokesperson further explained that the meeting addressed the developments taking place in the region, where President El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s commitment to working toward de-escalation. For his part, Sultan Mufaddal praised Egypt’s valued role in advancing efforts to establish peace, security, and stability in the region and the world, commending Egypt’s ongoing pursuit of a better future for all.
