Mr. Musalia W Mudavadi Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign & Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya Welcomed Huzurala Tus in Nairobi, Kenya
For more than a century, the Dawoodi Bohra community has been part of Kenya's story, a vibrant and entrepreneurial Shia Muslim community widely recognised for its enduring contribution to our economy and social fabric.
Welcomed to the country the Spiritual Leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, who is in Kenya for a few days. His visit reflects the deep, longstanding ties between the community and our nation.
I took the opportunity to acknowledge the community's remarkable economic footprint, particularly its role in strengthening Kenya's manufacturing base, including glass, aluminium, and paper production. Their enterprise also spans real estate, infrastructure development, and the banking sector, helping to drive growth, jobs, and investment across the country.
Beyond business, the Dawoodi Bohra community continues to make a meaningful difference through philanthropy, supporting health and education initiatives that improve lives and expand opportunity. These contributions are visible across Kenya, underscoring a shared commitment to progress, dignity, and inclusive development.
