  • Union Minister of Jal Shakti & Member of Parliament Shri Chandrakant Raghunath Patil joined the Dawoodi Bohra community in celebrating the 82nd birthday of His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the leader of the worldwide Dawoodi Bohra community, in Surat. 
  • The Minister especially came to offer his personal greetings and convey his best wishes to His Holiness on the eve of his birthday. He was accompanied by senior government officials and dignitaries from Surat, Gujarat.
  • In his address, Minister C. R. Patil commended Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s contributions toward progress and nation-building. 
  • He noted that he could see love, affection and deep faith reflected in the eyes of the thousands of Dawoodi Bohras who had gathered in Surat to mark the occasion, and expressed his wish for Syedna to continue visiting the city, stating that “Surat becomes khubsurat on your visits.”
