31st Dai al-Mutlaq: Syedna Qasim Khan Zainuddin RA
Ayyam ul-Dawat: 12 years, 6 months, 14 days
Syedna Qasim Khan Zainuddin RA hailed from the lineage of Syedi Hasanphir Shaheed. He served under Syedna Dawood bin AjabShah RA and Syedna Ali Shamsuddin RA, receiving Nass from the latter. During the period of Ali bin Ibrahim’s fitnat, he played a crucial role in protecting and upholding the integrity of Dawat in Hind. His guidance strengthened the faith of the community amid political and social challenges.

32nd Dai al-Mutlaq: Syedna Qutub Khan Qutbuddin al-Shaheed RA

Shahadat: 27 Jamadil Akhar
Umar Shareef: 71 years
Ayyam ud-Dawat: 2 years
After Syedna Qasim Khan Zainuddin RA, Syedna Qutbuddin RA assumed the mantle of Dai. Known for his steadfast devotion, he was compared to Imam Husain AS in Karbala for his courage and martyrdom. His father, Syedna Dawood bin QutubShah RA, supported him during travels and spiritual training. Even as his enemies sought to capture him, he remained committed to his faith.
Legend recounts his miraculous protection of Dawat’s sacred books during an attack. While enemies looted the household, divine guidance ensured the hidden texts remained safe. Syedna Qutbuddin RA faced imprisonment and intense trials yet remained unwavering in his mission. His martyrdom on 27 Jamadil Akhar is a testament to his courage, sacrifice, and devotion to Dawat.

33rd Dai al-Mutlaq: Syedna Feerkhan Shuja’uddin RA
Wafat: 9 Zilqad al-Haraam 1065H
Ayyam ud-Dawat: 9 years, 4 months, 11 days
Syedna Feerkhan Shuja’uddin RA dedicated his life to protecting the Deen during turbulent times. He witnessed the imprisonment and martyrdom of Syedna Qutbuddin RA, enduring immense grief but responding with patience and perseverance.
From a young age, he showed remarkable zeal in acquiring knowledge, studying under Syedna Shaikhadam Safiyuddin RA. Even during his marriage at age 17, he prioritized teaching and spreading religious knowledge to Talabat al-Ilm.
During his tenure, he faced political oppression, including captivity under Aurangzeb, yet he continued teaching, protecting the community, and nurturing scholars. He eventually traveled to multiple cities, including Ahmedabad, Islampura, and Jahanabad, strengthening Dawat and establishing a lasting legacy.
Syedna Feerkhan RA also appointed Syedna Ismailji bin Raj as his successor, ensuring continuity of leadership. Under his guidance, knowledge dissemination, community organization, and spiritual education flourished despite external threats.

48th Dai al-Mutlaq: Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin RA
Wafat: 27 Zilhajjat al-Haraam 1308H (1891 A.D.), Ahmedabad
Age: 70 years
Maazoon-e-Dawat: Syedi Ismail Badruddin
Mukasir-e-Dawat: Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin RA
Daur: 6 years
Born on Ashura, 1239H, Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin RA was the third Dai from the Syedi Jivanji lineage. He acquired profound knowledge under Syedi Abdeali Imaduddin A.Q. and undertook extensive travels, performing Hajj in 1267H along with 200 Mu’mineen.
Known for his commanding voice, he could address large congregations without amplification. His era witnessed socio-political upheavals, including the 1857 revolt and engagement with the British authorities in India.
He established Faize Husaini in Karachi (1304H) and traveled extensively across India, including Lunawada, Khambhat, Valsad, and Navsari, spreading religious knowledge and guidance. Even in his final days, he prioritized teaching, spiritual leadership, and ensuring smooth succession by appointing Syedna Ismailji bin Raj as his Qaem Maqaam.
Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin RA passed away at the age of 70 in Ahmedabad. His janaza prayers were held at Tajpur Masjid, and he was laid to rest at Mazaar-e-Qutbi.
